Chef Hosea Rosenberg, who helms the very popular Blackbelly Market, has opened not one but two patios at his Boulder restaurant. The front patio, right by the entrance, is surrounded by flowering boxes and offers full-service dinner seating and dining. The intimate south patio, adjacent to the bar and on the street-side is for bar service only and has community tables, umbrellas and great views of the Flatirons.
Nick's Homestyle in Fort Collins opened its new patio last week for al fresco dining during dinner, weekend brunch and special events. To go along with the patio, the five month old eatery launched a new summer menu that brings lighter fare and seasonal flavors. Among the new dishes there is a summer risotto, a corn risotto with heirloom tomatoes; a tomato and mozzarella salad with fresh basil, and the summer pie, a specialty pizza topped with fresh pesto, summer squash, zucchini and mozzarella.
Coffee at The Point, the coffee shop located in Five Points, will unveil its newly remodeled 30 seat patio with a two-day celebration on July 10 and 11. The coffee shop features a variety of food and drink items; a full schedule of weekly events that includes Free Refill Wednesdays, Game Night Thursdays, Friday Night Knitting & Crochet Group and Live Music Saturdays; a daily happy hour; and a roster of rotating art exhibits.
The patio at Beast + Bottle may not be new but the new special offered by the Uptown restaurant makes it the place to be this summer. Every week on Tuesday through Friday from 5 to 6 p.m., Beast + Bottle will offer 5 to 6 small plates priced $8 or under on the patio. The menu is created specially by chef Paul Reilly and his team each day and it will change depending upon the local, seasonal produce and meat available that day. Bonus: wine as well as a rotating Patio Plates cocktail and tap beer will be available for $6 or under.
