AURORA — Dry Dock Brewing Co. will release the 2015 Signature Series Whiskey Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout in 22 oz. bombers this week. This robust ale has a pronounced roasted bitterness that is balanced by chocolate undertones and a dark fruit backbone. The stout will tap at Canoe Room at North Dock on Thursday, August 13 starting at 2 p.m. and will be available at South Dock and in 22 oz. bombers at Colorado liquor stores starting the week of August 17.
TELLURIDE — The Telluride Mushroom Festival begins on Thursday, August 13 with a gourmet dinner and special guests Eugenia Bone & Gary Lincoff. Friday’s event includes a Psilocybin Panel with Eugenia discussing her New York Times Op-ed and an R-rated hour-long talk with amateur mycologists sharing stories of their mushroom experiences. The festival will conclude with a Future of Fungi panel on Sunday, August 16 from 10-11:30. More information is available here.

LODO — Lucky Pie Pizza and Tap House is teaming up with ReadyTalk and Breckenridge Distillery on starting at 4 p.m. Thursday, August 13 to raise some dough for Burning Through Pages, an organization committed to providing literature, resources, and time to youth orgs to foster great readers and inspired thinkers. All proceeds for the sales of Breckenridge Bourbon will be directly donated to the organization.
