DOWNTOWN — The grand re-opening for the Curtis Club, an urban Western saloon, will kick-off on Saturday, August 15 and last until 2 p.m. on Sunday. A brand new brunch menu will feature a new "bottomless trays" concept that includes endless champagne with a variety of juices and jams to play around with. Happy hour drinks will be served all day and a brand new western comfort food menu will also be available. BOULDER —The Boulder Bike & Brew Festival will take over Valmont Bike Park on Saturday, August 15. The race itself will commence at 9 a.m. followed by the brew festival, food, and live music at 11 a.m. Sixteen local breweries and one out-of-state will be present along with the Zeal Food Truck selling fresh pressed juices and hot and cold meal items. 50% of the proceeds will benefit the Emergency Family Assistance Association, the Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance, and Cyclists $ Community. LOHI — Celebrate the infamous birthday of Julia Child on Saturday, August 15 with a ‘Celebrating Julia Child’ cooking class at Stir Cooking School. Guests will apron-up and create several of Julia’s famous dishes including cheese souffled potatoes, Coq au Vin with mushrooms and pearl onions, brussel sprouts braise in butter and a mouthwatering chocolate roulade. BOULDER — Nationally acclaimed event, the Craft Brewing Races, is coming to Boulder on Saturday, August 15. This event includes a 5k run or walk around the Boulder Resovoir followed by a craft beer event featuring over 25 breweries including Boulder Beer, Oskar Blues, Great Divide and more. Attendees can also expect local food trucks, vendors, and live music with a portion of proceeds benefitting the Colorado Brewers Guild. Early-bird tickets are $50 for the race and fest, with prices increasing on August 14 and the day off. Tickets can be purchased online.
