Coffee Taproom Takeover, End of Summer Film Festival, and Paw-tio Happy Hour

LITTLETON Locavore Beer Works and the Rocky Mountain Craft Coffee Alliance will host a Taproom Takeover to showcase the process behind creating a coffee beer on Tuesday, August 18 at 6:30 p.m. There will be lots of beer and coffee samples for guests and this event is part of the RMCCA Extract Series. RSVP online.

BOULDER — The End of Summer Film Fiesta will take place at Sanitas Brewing Company on Tuesday, August 18 starting at 7 p.m. There will be bocce ball, Sanitas beer, tacos, and plenty of environmental and social justice activism with an 8:30 p.m. screening of Last Rush for the Wild West, a short documentary about Utah Tar Sands. Involved organizations include C3 Boulder, Independent Power Systems, 350 Colorado, Colorado Ocean Coalition, and more. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or beach chair.

UPTOWN — Randolph’s Restaurant & Bar has launched a dog-friendly happy hour on their outdoor patio. "Paw-tio" Happy Hour is offered daily from 4 to 7 p.m. and features $4 draft beers, $6 house wines, $6.50 Absolute vodka cocktails and $6 appetizers like truffle fries, hot wings, crab cakes, and more. Dogs can also get a complimentary dog-cupcake from Denver-based Biscotti Hound.

CHERRY CREEK — Harman’s Eat and Drink has a sweet and summery pairing for the month of August: Peaches and whiskey. The pairing menu includes peaches and house ham, peach-basil ravioli with pickled peaches and hazelnuts, and a pork belly corndog with pecan mostarda. Each dish is paired with a whiskey cocktail for $20. The special is available Tuesday through Sunday after 4 p.m. and reservations can be made by calling 303.388.7428.
