It's been a long time coming but the day is almost here: Recess Beer Garden will open next week. Set in the former Book Bindery building at 2715 17th Street in LoHi, the new beer-centric spot is the brainchild of William Frankland and Owen Olson, both seasoned industry professionals who grew up in Wash Park.
The 2,000 square foot interior that can accommodate some 70 guests, features a long wooden bar that opens onto the patio to provide an indoor-outdoor feel. There are booths, stools, and tables to accommodate a variety of moods and group sizes. The patio and garden remain the highlight here, at least until the weather takes a turn. Guests will be able to enjoy fire pits and a variety of outdoor games out on the nicely lit space.
The focus at Recess is on beers but the kitchen will offer a variety of dishes that will complement the brews. Stay tuned for more details.
