FIVE POINTS — Spangalang Brewery will host chef-collective Brewed Food with chef Jensen Cummings on Friday, August 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. for an innovative food and beer pairing. For $10, the pairing menu includes hop-ashed Tender Belly ribs, fermented honey baked beans, pickled watermelon and candied sugar barbecue sauce paired with Le Sony’r Ra Petite Saison and D-Train IPA.
COPPER — Celebrate one of America’s favorite comfort foods with the mouthwatering Mac and Cheese Fest on Saturday, August 22 starting at 2 p.m. at the Copper Mountain. Restaurants will compete for the title of "Best Mac and Cheese in Summit County" while enjoying live music from local favorite, John Truscelli Band. Adult Mac Daddy Passes are $25 and include a sample from each participating restaurant paired with a signature Svedka cocktail, a-la-carte tickets are $1 per ticket and both can be purchased online.
GRAND JUNCTION — The Ale House Grand Junction will host BREWFEST on Saturday, August 22 from 2 to 8 p.m. The event will feature live music from Ruby Horsethief and Tight Thump, beers from Breckenridge Brewery, New Belgium, Dogfish Head, Prost Brewing and more. All proceeds will benefit March of Dimes and tickets are $200 for the Friday night Beer Dinner on Saturday, August 21 and early entrance to BREWFEST, a commemorative beer glass, brewery swag, food and more. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
BOULDER — The 2nd Annual Boulder Craft Beer Festival will take place on Saturday, August 22 from 1 to 5 p.m. Attendees can look forward to enjoying beer samples from 20 different breweries while listening to music from Strange Americans and The Rail Splitters. There will also be food trucks and free lawn games like ping-pong and corn hole. Ticket prices rang from $35 to $50 and include everything from a commemorative beer glass to VIP early access to the event and can be purchased at the event.
SOUTH BROADWAY — Former Future Brewing Company will host a release party for "Dreamland" Sour Golden Ale on Sunday, August 23 with doors opening at noon. Interested customers are asked to line-up before noon to receive a ticket and once the doors have opened, tickets can be used to purchase up to 5 bottles of this aromatic and sour beer. 750mL bottles are $18 each and more information about the event can be found online.
CAPITOL HILL — Marczyk Fine Foods will host Bikes & Burgers on Sunday, August 23 in honor of the last leg of the state-wide USA Pro Cycling Challenge. Marczyk has ordered up some bleachers for bike racing fans and will host a burger cookout with freshly ground Niman Ranch burgers, house-made duck fat fries and Island Creek oysters. The noon to 3 p.m. event is also BYOCB, otherwise known as "Bring Your Own Cowbell."
