After a weekend of friends and family practice, Mehdi and Crystal Mdouari, the duo behind Euro Crepes, officially opened their new restaurant at 1842 South Broadway this morning. Recent transplants from Hawaii, the husband and wife team found their inspiration for the casual eatery in the food they discovered during their European honeymoon.

A rich menu is offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. There are several savory crepes, all named after European countries, with sweet counterparts, mostly named after places or things in Europe. There are also three appetizers, as well as some panini and salads. Soups will be added when the weather cools down and brunch plus a patio will also be launched very soon.

Bonus: There is a full bar with a variety of cocktails and European wines and beers. For those in search of a caffeine kick, a full espresso menu, crafted with Lavazza coffee, is available. A selection of house-made flavored lemonade is also available.

The cozy space is tucked in a parking lot off Broadway - just look for the sign away from the busy street. Custom wooden tables whose legs are made of reclaimed pipes welcome guests in a room where the vaulted barrel ceiling is a highlight. The space, punctuated by exposed brick walls and modern art, is comfortable and airy, and the service is friendly and welcoming.

On Sunday, August 30, Euro Crepes will host a grand opening party from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
