With stunning views of the city from a cozy patio, Postino officially opened to the public on Wednesday, August 26. The Arizona-born wine bar and eatery owned by Craig and Kris DeMarco and Wyatt and Lauren Bailey is located at 2715 17th Street, in the former Denver Book Binding Company space. The history of the building, something of great importance to Bailey and DeMarco, inspired the decor, which incorporates large stacks of books in the 3,000 square foot space. Xan Creative has assisted in curating the contemporary interior.
Postino is first and foremost a wine bar. A large by-the-glass selection is available to guests interested in anything from classic Spanish reds to more eclectic selections like a white blend from Arizona and a chardonnay from New York. Colorado's strong beer scene is given its due respect with a selection of brews ranging from Great Divide's Colette to the Funkwerks Saison. A variety of beers from other parts of the country and the world is also offered.
The wait staff recommends bruschettas and the pub board to complement the drinks, but the food selection also includes panini sandwiches, soups, salads, and several desserts.
Postino is open for daily for lunch and dinner with brunch on weekends.
