Bellwether is now open on East Colfax and we are quite sure what to call it yet. It would be an injustice to call it a coffee shop because it is much more. And it is certainly not a bar, nor is it just a clothing store although guests can find a full clothing boutique in there featuring brands like For Love and Lemons, Bradley Mountain, Grifter Gloves, Redwings Boots, and Yellow 108.
Located at 5126 E. Colfax Avenue, the 2600 square foot Bellwether is sort of like the contemporary hipster with a freelance job and a man bun: A little bit of everything. There is a well-curated coffee house featuring beans from Boxcar Roasters and Sweet Bloom. With room for some 20 guests, there is also top shelf bourbon to be had in an uncomplicated way — neat, on the rocks, or in classics like Manhattans, Sazeracs, and Old Fashioneds.
Bellwether has more to offer: A barber service provided in the members-only entrepreneurial workspace where those interested can pay a $10 monthly fee to enjoy simple office amenities as well as a conference room for meetings. Find more information and hours of operation on the spot's Facebook page.
In a similar category of places that bring coffee, booze, fashion, and barber services, Metroboom opened last week in RiNo.
