One of the most anticipated "best of" lists in Denver's restaurant world is the October issue of 5280 Magazine. Every year, food editor Amanda Faison chooses 25 restaurants —some new, some old — and deems them as the best of Mile High City's dining. The upcoming issue will hit the newsstands on September 25, but waiting is hard, so we'll let you in on a little secret: Three of the restaurants that made the cut and their ranking!

Without further ado:

Work & Class comes in at # 6 (a giant jump from # 20 last year)
Beast + Bottle ranks at # 7 (# 22 in 2014)
To The Wind Bistro placed at # 9 (6 slots up from # 15 a year ago)

To celebrate the chefs that made it and their teams, the magazine is throwing a big bash called 5280 Dines on Sunday, September 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. The pop-up soiree hosted in an industrial parking lot at Lifescape (3002 Walnut Street) will feature food and cocktails from seven of the top ten restaurants, Work & Class and Beast + Bottle included. Farm-style tables will encourage mingling, live music will set the mood, and a charity, the Morgan Adams Foundation, will benefit from the event.

Those eager to attend can purchase regular tickets online or take advantage of a unique offer, a VIP ticket that grants access to the 4 to 5 p.m. VIP hour and offers a dish from Work & Class. The password for the special ticket, only sold to 50 guests, is DINESVIP.
