Festivals, Beer Events, and Special Dinners Unleash in Denver This Weekend

The second weekend of September is positively stacked with great events.

SUNNYSIDE Diebolt Brewing Company will be hosting its second anniversary party extravaganza this weekend. The party kicks off Friday, September 11 with a firkin tapping at 4 p.m., an Oktoberfest tapping, live music, and food from T.H. Cuisine. On Saturday the fun continues with another firkin tapping at 12 p.m., a cornhole tournament at 2 p.m., and food from Maine St. BBQ. The party will roll over to Sunday with beer floats and brunch-y beer cocktails as well as an airing of the Broncos game.

DOWNTOWN — The fall edition of The Denver Flea sets up shop at Sculpture Park on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13. The event features over 150 vendors, a food truck row, six different bars, a special tapping of Denver Flea and New Belgium's collaboration beer, Fleak Out, live music, yoga on the lawn, games, and more. Those who RSVP in advance will receive a free New Belgium beer upon arrival.

AURARIA CAMPUS — This weekend Denver Food and Wine events will take the city by storm and culminate with the grand tasting on the Auraria Campus on Saturday, September 12. Events will be happening at venues all over town throughout the weekend, including a wine pairing at Panzano on Thursday, September 10, an "end of summer" cocktail party on Friday at 9th and Auraria Parkway (next to the Tivoli), and Riedel wine glass seminar on Friday at the MSUD Hospitality Learning Center. CITY PARK New Belgium's Tour de Fat rolls through town this weekend. Costumed cyclists will gather in City Park on Saturday, September 12 and will be celebrating the annual event with live music, dance contest, crafts, games, and of course, beer. LYONS — Two years after the devastating flood, Oskar Blues will sponsor the Second Annual VIVA LYONS with a series of community events including a special film screening, a five-course beer dinner at LYONS FORK, a performance by the Infamous Stringdusters on Saturday, September 12, and more. BOULDERSanitas Brewing will host its second anniversary party this Saturday, September 12 from 2 - 10 p.m. at its location in Boulder. Tickets are $10 general admission and $12 at the door and include live music all day. Mcdevitt Taco Supply will be serving up its famed tacos all day and rare beers and beloved standbys will be pouring throughout the event. More information about the event can be found online.

BOULDER — BASTA will host a special Sunday Supper on September 13 from 5 - 10 p.m. featuring the culinary stylings of Chef/Owner Kelly Whitaker and guest chef Gabe Kennedy. Kennedy is a Boulder native and recent winner of ABC's cooking competition, "The Taste." Seats for this special dinner are $45 with an additional $25-35 for beverage pairings. The dinner will be four courses featuring seasonal harvest ingredients and as always, focused on wood fired cookery. This event will sell out, RSVP online.
