Under the Microscope: Dos Santos and Farmhouse at Breckenridge Brewery

See what the critics had to say about the two restaurants.

The Farm House,  the new restaurant housed inside Breckenridge Brewery's new complex, is a good place to hang out for hours, Westword says. Critic Gretchen Kurtz underlined the trend of breweries going into the food business and highlighted some of the good and the bad at this Littleton spot. Overly zealous servers could make guests feel rushed but the fun vibe and dishes like the lamb pastrami will chase those feelings away. As long as you skip things like the spice rubbed smoked chicken and forgive some decisions in ingredient sourcing, the Farm House is a good spot to bring your kids and your mom.

Uptown's Dos Santos got three stars (of four) in today's Denver Post review. Housed in what used to be D Bar, the modern Mexican taqueria impressed with creations like the Porky, a taco built around deeply flavorful slow-roasted pork, and the tinga, a shredded chicken thigh taco complemented by a smoke-infused tomato-chipotle broth. Add some thoughtful starters, fun beers, and tequila-based cocktails and you've got a winning combo.
