It was a sad day in 2013 when the iconic Carbone's Italian Sausage shuttered its doors on 38th Avenue, but there is now hope. Tony Lonardo family, the heir apparent to the family business built by his parents Rosa and Nick, is bringing the sandwiches and even more back to the area, the Denver Post reported.

The new location will be inside the future quarters for the live music venue Monkey Barrel bar at 4401 Tejon Street. The businesses will share a space and Carbone will be a full-fledged restaurant. Fear not though, the famed and beloved sandwiches will be there too.

Construction for this new venture will start early next year.
