Henry's Tavern Opens at the Pavilions

There's beer and tvs and classic tavern food.

Portland-born Henry's Tavern has joined the dining scene of Downtown Denver with a location at the Pavilions. In a large space accented by exposed brick and modern finishes, Henry's seats 335 guests inside, with more seating on the front patio, and group and private dining options. Six garage doors open when the weather is nice and an ice rail keeps pints cold while guests chat or take in a sporting match on one of the large flat-screen televisions.

The menu brings classic tavern fare with a beer-focused twist. Highlights include Hank's Beer Brat featuring Denver's Continental Sausage served with bacon-fennel sauerkraut and the truffle mushroom hand-pulled barley malt pizza, a combo of roasted mushrooms, garlic cream sauce, mozzarella, chives and a soft egg.

On the liquid side, there is a large selection of tap and bottle offerings, as well as a full bar for wine and cocktails. Some 45 local beers complete the list of European and American brews available to guests.

Henry's Tavern is open daily for lunch and dinner with late night offerings in the bar area until midnight on weekdays and 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Happy hour is available Monday through Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. and again from 10 p.m. to close.

The new spot is hosting a grand opening on September 22 when from 6 to 9 p.m. each table will receive a free serving of signature Gorgonzola fries.
