Can't get enough Great American Beer Festival events? Neither can we. Here are four beer-centric book signings happening throughout the city this week.
- Join co-author of Beer BItes, Christian DeBenedetti, at the Hotel Teatro to get your copy of the beer cookbook signed on Thursday, September 24 from 3 - 5 p.m. As always, The Nickel, located inside of Hotel Teatro, will have many microbrews on tap to choose from and the kitchen will be offering snacks straight out of the Beer Bites cookbook. - Spangalang Brewery will host Bryan Jansing and Paul Vismara, co-authors of the first and only book about Italian craft beer, Italy: Beer Country. Notable Italian breweries Birrificio Argo from Parma and Revelation Cat from Rome will be joining the group over at Spangalang as well tomorrow to brew an unusual beer that will mimic one of the most beloved Italian dishes, 'risotto alla milanese.' The brew day starts at 10 a.m. on Thursday, and all are invited to join as some of the world's foremost experts on Italian craft beer brew one of their own. - Beer Bible author Jeff Alworth will be signing copies of his monumental book on Thursday, September 24 at 7 p.m. The event will be hosted at BookBar on Tennyson Street. Can't make it out on Thursday? Fear not- Jeff Alworth will besigning his book on Friday, September 25 at the Great American Beer Festival Beer Geek Bookstore from 6 - 7 p.m
- Inside the Convention Center where the Great American Beer Festival takes place, there will be a book signing and purchasing space hosting acclaimed beer authors all weekend. The Beer Geek Bookstore will host notables like Mirella Amato, certified master cicerone (she is one of seven in the world), who will be signing copies of her book, Beerology on Friday, September 25 from 8 - 9 p.m. In hour increments, your favorite authors of beer literature will be making appearances at the Beer Geek Bookstore to sign books throughout the weekend, For more information on books and participants and to see the full lineup, check out the festival event schedule.
