Where to Dine in Parker

Fare for the pleasant suburban nook.

Parker Garage

The Town of Parker is a growing corridor at the southeasternmost corner of the Denver metro area. The suburban town has become a commuter hub with a wide range of recreational and community activities, in part thanks to the Cherry Creek Trail, for hikers, bikers, nature walkers and cross-country skiers to play. But with all the fun and frolicking, there's bound to be occasions that require a refuel. In case you get hungry in Parker, here's a brief list of dishes and destinations to dig into.

Parker Garage

Located in the heart of Parker on Mainstreet, Owner Brent Walker and Executive Chef Duy Pham took the bounty of their 1,000-acre Lone Star Ranch to source fresh, local ingredients for their new restaurant. In addition to free range cattle and chickens, the team is raising honey bees and sourcing fresh herbs and produce for the kitchen and bar. Soups and sauces are made from scratch in the 100-year-old historic building.

Parker Garage was recently visited by the Food Network, when Chef Pham prepared a six-pound tomahawk rib for TV host Anthony Anderson. The episode of Carnival Cravings will air August 26 at 10 p.m.

Kurosawa

Fusing traditional Japanese food with inventive French cuisine is sure to provide a unique culinary experience. With high-quality service and the mood set with an intriguing ambiance, Kurosawa provides one of the few sushi experiences in Parker.

Hickory House Ribs

A Parker tradition for more than 10 years and winners of more than 100 awards for the "Best Ribs and Best BBQ Sauce," Hickory House serves baby back ribs imported from Denmark in a family-friendly setting. All meats are smoked daily and the onion rings, cole slaw, baked beans and au gratin are all made from scratch. Try this or take a trip up to Aspen for the other finger-lickin' good location.

Indochine

In 2003, Jeff and Yume found themselves stuck in the technology industry, ready to explore other options. Though neither had culinary backgrounds, they opted to start an eatery of their own, creating a largely gluten- and soy-free menu, with vegan options as well. The latest recipes include the pad thai, penang curry with beef, and flamed beef cubes in garlic sauce.

Nomelie Cupcakes

Don't skimp on dessert – instead indulge in heavenly baked goods – in full size and mini varieties – made from scratch. Baked fresh each morning, choose from flavors like Tiramisu or champagne.
