The sausages and Belgian beers are no longer flowing at Wurstkuche, a casual eatery that opened at 2036 Broadway in February of 2015. The doors are closed, phone lines unresponsive, and employees of the establishment reported that the closure is permanent.
With two locations in Los Angeles that are still alive and well, Wurstkuche is the brainchild of cousins and business partners Tyler Wilson and Joseph Pitruzzelli. Their plans for Denver were big and included opening a rooftop deck suitable for 30 to 40 people and a basement bar created in collaboration with the award winning team from Death & Co. Plans for the bar were dropped late last year. Wilson and Pitruzzelli own the building; there is no word yet on what will happen to it next.
