Beer-Centric Events for Your Weekend

AURORA – Coda Brewing Co. in Aurora is releasing a very special beer this Saturday, January 16. The Spoonful Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine clocks in at 10.2% and was aged for nine months. GOLDEN TRIANGLE – Sometimes the best things in life are free. Lowdown Brewery & Kitchen is throwing a free barrel aged beer mini festival tomorrow Saturday, January 16 starting at 2 p.m. There will be eight local breweries featured with no tickets required and no cover, just beer drinking. AURARIA – This Sunday from noon to 8 p.m., get pumped up at Tivoli Brewing's Bronco tailgate party. DJ D Law will be amping the crowd with jock jams and the first round of beers will be half price. Check out the Facebook page for more info.

UPTOWN – Ease into Sunday afternoon with a CorePower yoga class at Ace Eat Serve on January 17. Ping pong tables will be moved aside for yoga hour, which begins at 12:30 and is completely free. FIVE POINTS – Vinyl Sundays at Spangalang Brewery with the Denver Kush Club happens this Sunday, January 17 from noon to 8 p.m. Pints will be a dollar off all day long and Denver Kush will be supplying beer drinkers with free joint coupons. GOLDEN – Cannonball Creek is turning three this weekend and is hosting an epic anniversary party on Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17. On Saturday starting at noon, there will be specialty kegs tapped throughout the day, beer pickle samplings, Moe's BBQ pig roast and food truck and live jams from Modern Whiskey Market and Lookout Mountain Boys. The fun continues on Sunday with a hair of the dog brunch complete with brunch pizzas from Rolling Dough Pizza, as well as mimosas and bloodies in addition to the award-winning Cannonball Creek beer.

DOWNTOWN – Bust out your embarrassing snowveralls and ski onesies tonight at Terminal Bar's lower level gallery speakeasy for the 80's neon ski party. The fun kicks off at 9 p.m. with a live 80's jams cover band and there will be prizes awarded for the best ski gear. As always, expect great cocktails and a fine selection of beers on tap.
