In the space that formerly housed Emilio's Mexican Restaurant, Tycoon Ramen & Sushi Bar quietly opened for business on December 18 for lunch, dinner and happy hour service. The menu spans the Asian continent with ramen and sushi (obviously) as well as dishes inspired by Asian street food from Japan, China, Vietnam and Thailand.
Ramen broth here is a layered and umami affair, taking hours to make and maybe only seconds to slurp down. Husband and wife chef-owners, Andy and May, bring together their combined experience in Asian cookery at Tycoon. Andy was born and raised in Hong Kong, and is a skilled sushi chef and Asian street food connoisseur.
Hours at the new ramen and sushi bar are Monday - Thursday from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m., Saturday from noon - 11 p.m., and Sunday noon - 10 p.m.
