Banded Oak Brewery will open late in the spring in a former auto-body space on Broadway, Westword reported. Owned by Will Curtin and Chris Kirk, the 2000 square foot brewery and taproom will focus on barrel-aged beers and will launch with a ten-barrel brewing system.
The owners have experience in the brewing industry: Kirk spent time brewing professionally in Sweden, Brazil and Colorado, most recently at Moffat Station in Winter Park and Curtin has worked at Great Divide Brewing for five years, most recently as the taproom manager.
When Banded Oak opens, guests can expect an imperial red oak-aged saison, an imperial pilsner, and a Belgian quadrupel, among others.
