Jezebel's Southern Bistro & Bar, a restaurant that opened its doors in LoHi at 3300 Tejon four years ago, is shuttering after service tonight. Owners Scott Durrah and Wanda James, who previously owned 8 Rivers (1550 Blake Street), have chosen to step away from the day-to-day grind of running a restaurant and focus on their other business, cannabis. Chef Durrah is concentrating on growing on his cannabis-cooking venture, Simply Pure. The husband and wife team also own a recreational dispensary with the same name at 2000 West 32nd Avenue.

The restaurant put the announcement below on its Facebook page last weekend:

The only constant is change. And change is happening. Jezebel’s will close on Monday, Oct 10th. We would like to invite everyone to come join us this weekend as we say goodbye.

This is not the end of our love affair with food, it is another beginning. Wanda and I have decided to focus entirely on changing the world through food and cannabis. I am excited to announce Simply Cooking Catering and Cooking School! Stay tuned, over the next week we will release all the details!

But this weekend come on by for a taste of the South, Denver Style one LAST time! We look forward to seeing everyone!

Chef Scott!
