Small Wonder Food & Wine is the newest addition to the flurry of closures that Denver has experienced in the last few months. The Highland Square restaurant changed ownership and underwent a renovation in the fall of 2014 then changed its name from the Coral Room in February 2015. The Coral Room had opened in 2003.
As of last weekend, the neighborhood hangout is no more. This message was posted on the restaurant's Facebook page on October 8:
Tonight we will be having our last service before we close our doors to move on to bigger and better things. We know it is abrupt, and we feel the same way. It will be a bittersweet evening, as it has been an amazing two years, and we want to celebrate that with you tonight! Come by for one last hoorah, with drink and food specials all night. Thanks to all of you who have given your time and love to us, it has been an amazing ride. We will see you tonight! Cheers to you, Denver!
