On Monday, October 24, after dinner service and a four-day celebration, La Loma Mexican Restaurant will shutter its longtime location in Jefferson Park, a neighborhood it called home for nearly 35 years, and move to a new location at 1801 Broadway, in downtown Denver, in the former Trinity Grill space.

"We want to thank our friends, loyal fans and guests who have supported us for so many years," said owner Mark Brinkerhoff. "This four-day celebration will give a us a chance to say thank you before we start making new memories in our new location downtown."

The closing celebration begins on Friday, October 21, with throwback menu specials including the Mexican Pizza, and the Margarita Azul, and it will continue through October 23.

On Monday, October 24, beginning at 4 p.m., La Loma will host its last tailgate party as the Denver Broncos take on the Houston Texans. Attendees are invited to get their picture taken with the portrait of Grandma Mendoza from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. as a souvenir and thank you gift for their many years of support. Also for purchase are $8 Don Julio margaritas, $3 hand wrapped burritos, and $5 draft beers. There is a free shuttle to and from the game.
