One of the country's most celebrated pastry chefs, Mindy Segal, owner of popular Mindy's Hot Chocolate in Chicago and author of Cookie Love, will be in Denver on November 5 with a one-day pop up. The James Beard Award-winning pastry chef is teaming up with New Belgium Brewing and RiNo Yacht Club for a "Bagels & Brews" brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"I've had a long-standing relationship with New Belgium and have done many collaborations with them," said Segal. "To have the opportunity to partner with them on a brunch in their hometown, and to be able to do it in a space like The Source that I love, is a win-win!"

Tickets for "Bagels & Brews with Mindy Segal" cost $30 all-inclusive and can be purchased online.

Guests at the event will enjoy chef Segal's bagel toasts, doughnuts, cookies and signature hot chocolate; as well as three taster-sized and two full-sized beverage pairings, featuring several choices of New Belgium's beers and cocktails by RiNo Yacht Club. Highlights include Segal's famous cookies, such as the Klug Farm sour cherry and cheesecake kolache and the hot fudge brown sugar hazelnut rugelach. New Belgium will feature its Cherry Felix sour beer as one of the pairings.

Disclosure: The editor is married to one of the developers behind The Source, the development in which pop up will take place.
