It was big news when Spago, a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, announced its departure from Colorado, and it was certainly big shoes to fill. The team at the Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch though took its time and finally announced the opening of WYLD – the resort’s brand-new signature restaurant concept. The venue will open the week of December 5.
Inspired by the mountains of our state, WYLD will offer an eclectic menu, emphasizing locally sourced and sustainable meats, seafood, and seasonal vegetables. Benjamin Christopher will serve as executive chef and he is looking forward to showcasing ingredients from local purveyors including Green Wagon Farms, Colorado Meat Company, Ripe Produce, Avalanche Creamery, among others.
The interior of the restaurant, modern yet rustic, will be reimagined by EDG Design. The 100-seat main dining room and bar will be dotted with rich wood accents, walnut wood tabletops, some aspen tree elements, plus hues of red, orange and yellow. Bonus: There will be a fireplace.
When it launches, WYLD will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
