The growing Five Points neighborhood will get a new brewery in the spring of 2017, BusinessDen reported. The venture, named Woods Boss Brewing Co., is the brainchild of Jordan Fink and Chad Moore who are planning to open the 15-barrel brew house just off of Welton Street.

"There are a ton of breweries around downtown, but there aren't any in our little six-block bubble," Fink who is a brewer at Odyssey Beerwerks said to BusinessDen. "We see ourselves being able to tap into the brewery tour scene - from a place like Jagged Mountain, to our place, over to Spangalang and into RiNo - without being right in the middle of it."

The name Woods Boss came from a job title Fink once had as a forest guide leading wilderness treks in Oregon.

Last year, Fink helped launch a craft brewery in Nepal. Now, he partnered with Moore, who is a project engineer at Lockheed Martin, and is ready to start a serious beer adventure of his own.
