Fish N Beer Opens in RiNo on Monday

Grilled oysters, whole fish, rock shrimp, and octopus for all!

Adam Larkey

It takes seconds from walking in the door at Fish N Beer to realize that you are in a special place. The imposing oak-burning grill, a focal point of the showcase kitchen, greets guests as they come in, as wafts of grilled seafood — be it whole bass or char or octopus or shrimp or oysters — confirm the simple concept that Kevin Morrison and his business partner Aniedra Nichols envisioned.

The petite RiNo restaurant, located at 3510 Larimer Street, next door to Hop Alley, is all about keeping things casual but getting all serious when it comes to sourcing, cooking, and serving the best seafood and beer. The menu is broad and varied, ranging from a creamy wild mushroom soup to quinoa crab cakes, a grilled fingerling potato salad, and tempura rock shrimp. There are delightful halibut cheeks, a veggie paella, and a Novo coffee rubbed NY Strip. A full menu is available online.

There are 16 beers on tap, some from Colorado and some from other places, with the house beer being a custom French saison made in collaboration with neighborhood staple Ratio Beer Works.

Fish N Beer will unveil its lively industrial-minimalist space to the public on Monday, November 7.
