Denver is one of the eight new cities that Renzell, a self-described membership club for restaurant enthusiasts, just launched in. The data-driven app is committed to changing the way restaurants are rated and bringing some objectivity to the game. How would that work, you ask? By using a hand-selected panel, a comprehensive survey, and a proprietary algorithm to create an accurate assessment of each restaurant.
Currently, Renzell counts more than 3,000 members across the country it its data base all of whom are regular patrons and connoisseurs at high-end restaurants. They dine out anonymously (and at their own expense) and complete a seventy-plus question survey about their experiences at Renzell Restaurants. In turn they receive access to special experiences in and around RenzellRestaurants. There is no cost to be a Renzell Member.
Official ratings for Denver will be published in 2017—overall and in eight categories: cocktails, design, food, hospitality, service, value, vibe, and wine/sake/beer—with scores released periodically to provide regular insights into how restaurants are faring. In an effort to be transparent with the restaurants and consumers, Renzell makes its survey, methodology and data available to the restaurants it covers.
