Upscale Casual Italian Brodo Joins Lakewood

It will launch in mid-December

Facebook

The team behind The Wooden Table in Greenwood Village will open Brodo Italian Scratch Kitchen next month at Lakewood's Belmar Shopping Center. The eatery aims to offer elevated yet accessible Italian cuisine in an inviting, modern atmosphere, something that the Barolo Grill teams started to pursue with Chow Morso at Avanti earlier this fall.

The menu at the upcoming Brodo will include appetizers, simple and entrée-sized salads, grinder-style sandwiches, housemade pastas, entrées, plus desserts. The full-service bar will offer a variety of Colorado craft beer, wine (including house keg wines and even a house Prosecco on tap) and specialty craft cocktails. Bonus: A daily happy hour with discounted appetizers and drinks will be offered.

The interior at the restaurant will be modern yet rustic, with natural elements like wood and concrete complemented by a neutral color palate and warm tone accents. In addition to a welcoming bar area and main dining room, Brodo will offer a spacious patio with outdoor tables and the option to reserve a private dining room.

"Our hope for Brodo is that it will become everyone's go-to neighborhood spot," says Jane Knauf, owner of Brodo Italian Scratch Kitchen. "Our food and atmosphere will be equally appropriate for work lunches, date nights and large groups, and the location surrounded by Belmar's shops and movie theater makes it a convenient and versatile dining destination. We look forward to building a community of regulars, and to becoming a culinary hub in Lakewood."

When it opens, Brodo will serve from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
