Look Inside the Upcoming Mizu Izakaya

It will open on Sunday, November 13

The opening of Mizu Izakaya is less than a week away. The new LoHi restaurant will launch at 1560 Boulder Street later this week or early next week after some delays that derailed plans to open during October. Although the building is new and the space is a former restaurant spot that housed Churchill's Public House and Cibo in turn, a serious makeover was in order to fit the vision for the Japanese bar and eatery. The floor, and ceiling were re-done and Japanese-inspired art pieces and elements were added.

When he opens his new restaurant, owner Hong Jian Lee, who also operates East Moon Asian Bistro & Sushi in Westminster, will serve sushi, Japanese small plates like skewers and more, and a wide sake, beer, and whiskey selection.

The LoHi area that Mizu chose as its home continues to thrive with new restaurants. Early next year, Low Country Kitchen will open across the street and L5, Justin Cucci's new restaurant will follow in the same building that houses Sushi Ronin.
