Joe Pettenger and Taylor Drew who own LoHi SteakBar have expanded their reach in the neighborhood with a concept named LoHi Local. At 400 square feet and set next to their original business at 32nd and Tejon, the only weeks old cozy coffee house opens daily at 6 a.m. and serves until 4 p.m.
"We opened LoHi Local as the new neighborhood coffee shop, providing not only high-quality coffeedrinks but enough space to use as a home office or favorite study area," said Pettenger. "Hospitality and consistency are the main priority so that guests always feel welcome."
Guests can get a good espresso kick there, as well as a variety of coffee drinks, fresh pressed juices, natural soda, caffeinated cocktails, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and burritos, plus boxed lunches and snacks. There is also a selection of local market goods including artisan pantry items, milk and eggs, and organic in season fruits and vegetables.
