After a five year partnership, beverage director Mike Henderson and Edible Beats, the group that owns Root Down, Linger, Ophelia’s, and Vital Root, have parted ways. Henderson is looking to pursue new opportunities, according to Edible Beats. Justin Cucci, the founder of the group along with colleagues are excited for Henderson’s next venture and wish him the best. Cucci is not sure if he'll be hiring a new beverage director or promoting from within.
In other shuffles news, chef William Tuggle who spent some time cooking at Black Eye/White Lies has joined the team at STK Denver, a modern steakhouse that will open next month. Speaking of Black Eye, owner and bar director Steve Waters is also no longer with the business. He has sold his share and is pursuing other opportunities.
Frank Bonanno, the restaurateur behind Bonanno Concepts, announced that SupperBell, the chef-prepared dinner delivery service where he serves as the culinary director, has hired former Munchery culinary director, Bridget Batson, as its chief culinary officer. Chef Batson will partner with Bonanno in preparing the Denver-based operation to launch in several more cities in 2017.
