On Saturday, December 10, GoldenBoys - the Los Angeles-based guerilla Chinese restaurant by chefs Hunter Pritchett (a Denver alum who used to lead the kitchen at Luca) and Adam Midkiff - will pop up at The Source for a second time this year. A custom menu will be available in the RiNo Yacht Club center bar on Saturday only from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
GoldenBoys is a modern way to approach Chinese food with a fun, healthful and transparent slant. The wandering business has previously hosted sold-out dinners in Downtown Los Angeles and Culver City, and now has a permanent residence at Alvin Cailan's (Eggslut) culinary incubator in Los Angeles' Chinatown.
"We GoldenBoys are excited to be back in Colorado and to bring our Los Angeles take on modern Chinese flavors to RiNo Yacht Club at the Source," said Pritchett.
Highlights of the menu include the signature crispy orange chicken sandwich with Szechuan tiger slaw, smashed cucumbers and chili crisp mayo; East and West Coast oysters with smashed cucumber mignonette, and shaved kanpachi with 'Chinese tapenade,' apple and goji berries pickled in Tsingtao vinegar.
Paired cocktails will be offered at the Yacht Club, including a frozen banana daiquiri, newly added to the cocktail menu at the bar.
