Ten Fantastic Food Events Not to Miss in February

Work & Class hosts its second anniversary dinner, New Belgium expands Lost in the Woods, and Torchy's Tacos launches in Denver.

Black and Gold Charity Bash

When: Monday February 1, 6 to 11 p.m.
Where: Work & Class, 2500 Larimer Street 
What: The RiNo darling is celebrating its two year anniversary with a special charity dinner. Guests will enjoy all they can eat food all they can drink booze for $60 dollars. Bonus: Live music.

Torchy's Does Denver

Where: Torchy's Tacos, 1085 Broadway
What: The day is finally here: Torchy's Tacos is opening its Denver location and hosting an opening party with FREE tacos, drinks, chips & dips. Stop by for some entertainment and giveaways.

Special Screening of Somm: Into the Bottle

When: Tuesday, February 2 at 6 p.m.
Where: Sie Film Center, 2510 E Colfax
What: The Denver Film Society, Colorado Restaurant Association, and Southern Wine and Spirits are holding a special event with Denver's top restaurants and the film SOMM: Into the Bottle. A reception will take place featuring wine pairings and food from select Denver restaurants.

Brewed Food

When: February 4 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Highland Tap and Burger, 2219 W 32nd Ave, Denver, CO 80211
What: Chef Jensen Cummings, a certified cicerone and the force behind Brewed Food, is collaborating with chef Elijah Odell of Highland Tap on a multi-course meal incorporating ingredients from all six New Belgium Brewing beers.

Lost in the Woods: Denver 2016

When: February 6 form 7 to 11 p.m.
Where: Battery 621, 621 Kalamath 
What: Join New Belgium Brewing in the release of two new sour beer vintages. All guests will be provided with three sour beers, food from Corner of Gourmet, and a special surprise.

Brovia Wine Dinner

When: February 9 at 6 p.m.
Where: The Kitchen Denver, 1530 16th Street
What: The Kitchen is hosting a special wine-paired dinner with renowned Piedmont winemaker Brovia.

Istituto Frasca Per Il Vino: Sicily and Corsica

When: February 16, 17 and 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Frasca Food and Wine, 1738 Pearl Street, Boulder
What: The Boulder restaurant is hosting its third annual wine institute - a series of educational seminars focusing on various regions. This month: Sicily and Corsica. Guests participate in a two hour class, taste multiple wines from different regions, and are provided with the chance to learn from master sommelier and Frasca owner Bobby Stuckey.

Edge Out Childhood Hunger

When: February 18 from 8 p.m to 12 a.m.
Where: Edge Restaurant and Bar, 1824 Lincoln Street, Denver, CO 80203
What: Join the chefs at Edge at the Four Seasons and Cooking Matters Colorado for a fabulous fundraising event for low-income families with the knowledge and skills to eat healthy. The event will have appetizers, drawing prizes, a DJ and a live auction.

Funky Good Times: The Mountain Sun

What: The Mountain Sun is hosting its 23rd annual Funky Good Times Anniversary Benefit for KGNU. The event's music line-up includes  has one of the best music line-ups they've ever put together. When you purchase a ticket, you receive a free beer!

Osteria Marco Cooking Class

When: February 27 at 4 p.m.
Where: Osteria Marco, 1453 Larimer Street
What: A cooking class focused on pizza taught by Osteria Marco chef Burton Koeliker. The $100 per person event includes a three course meal and wine pairings.
