Seven Anti-Vday Happenings Coming This Weekend

Wash your hands of V-Day before it even begins with an I Hate Your Heart Dance Party on Saturday, February 13 starting at 8 p.m. at Globeville's Fort Greene Bar. DJ Saltine and DJ Jimmy Legs will be dropping the beats (nothing too romantic, of course) and there will be a photographer on site to capture all of the anti-mushy memories.

Drown your sorrows in beer at Wynkoop Brewing Co. on Valentine's Day, where PDA will be disallowed (or at least strongly discouraged), beer will be flowing, and you can shoot pool for free. The Anti V-Day celebration kicks off at 11 a.m. and runs throughout the day until 10 p.m.

Take your disdain for romance to Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery for the Tainted Love ANTI Valentine Party. Upon arrival guests will receive color-coded stickers to display based on relationship status and Valentine's goals - green is single, yellow is single but not interested, and red is taken. Naturally there will be lots of wine, as well as oysters provided by Marczyk and music from Love Stinks! Mix Tape, all starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 13.

If you are feeling single and ready to mingle, why not attend a Single Flingle? The District on 17th is teaming up with Denvertainment and Deny Boredom to bring you the Single Flingle, a mixer event happening Saturday at 9:30 p.m. The party isn't just for singles; just be sure to wear red to give the red light on seductive advances if you are happily taken. Happy Hour all night, DJ beats and a photo booth will make this a fun one.

Sometimes Anti V-Day is best approached with stiff drinks. Lou's Food Bar will be featuring a special cocktail menu of Anti Valentine's Day drinks like the "Wish I Swiped Left" and the "Gin is my True Love," amongst others, served from now through Valentine's Day on Sunday.

On Saturday, February 13, the Irish Snug and Fort Collins Brewery are teaming up to provide an anti-sentimental setting in which to drink beer, and lots of it. Fort Collins Brewery will be releasing a new seasonal and the Snug will be open throughout the day and into the night.
