The Tavern Opens Platt Park Location on Monday

With some unique touches and an enviable rooftop patio.

The Tavern Hospitality Group will open its newest Tavern iteration, the ninth location, in the Platt Park neighborhood on Monday, February 29. The leap day opening at 1475 Pearl Street will usher in a new generation of Tavern restaurants - owners call the Platt Park location: "The Tavern 2.0."

The Tavern Platt Park will offer spruced up menu items as well as beloved standbys of the other Tavern locations. Pork wings made with crispy pork shanks and a sausage and pepper hoagie with house-made marinara will be a couple of the newest menu additions featured at the Platt Park location.

As for the beverage program, there will be an extended craft beer selection with 24 taps of (mostly) locally produced microbrews, as well as locally sourced spirits and wines. A fun and funky selection of Mules will be had at the Platt Park location - from the Al Fresco Mule (gin, blueberries, cucumbers, mint and ginger beer) to the original Moscow Mule - there will be a mule for all tastes here.

The space matches the character of the Platt Park neighborhood, with high end architectural features and large, plus state-of-the-art TVs, as well as free valet parking to accommodate drivers. The space will feature a game room with beloved arcade games, a private dining room, and promotional events like Trivia Tuesdays and half-priced wine Wednesdays.

The Tavern Platt Park will be open from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, and on weekends for brunch at 10 a.m. until 2 a.m.
