On Tuesday, February 9, Bravo's popular Top Chef show is hosting a casting call in Denver at Rioja (1431 Larimer Street) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The producers are scouring the country for "the best up-and-coming chefs to compete on season 14 of the high-stakes culinary competition series."
The chefs who want to audition and vie for the coveted title should email topchefcasting@magicalelves.com with the city in the subject line. An online application is also available here.
Denver has been represented in previous editions of the show by chef Hosea Rosenberg of Blackbelly, who brought home the title in season five, chef Kelly Liken of the now closed Kelly Liken Restaurant in season 7 (she made the quarter finals), chefs Tyler Wiard of Elway's, Eliza Gavin of 221 South Oak, and Jorel Pierce of Stoic & Genuine in season 10, chef Travis Masar, formerly of Uncle in season 11, and chefs Richard Sandoval of Tamayo and Jennifer Jasinski of Rioja in season 5 of the Top Chef Masters. Jasinski made it to the very final of that show and narrowly missed the title.
The last two seasons of the show have not brought any talent from Colorado. Fingers crossed that this is about to change for the upcoming season!
