Born just outside of Vail in Edwards, Larkburger, which currently has 12 Colorado locations, is spreading its wings to Kansas. The company founded by chef Thomas Salamunuovich will open its first out-of-state location in at 135th and Metcalf in Overland Park early next year.
Now ten years old, Larkburger will bring its signature selection of burgers, truffle fries, house-made salads, and sides to our neighbors to the east. This is only the first of several locations planned for Kansas.
"We see a lot of similarities between Kansas City and Colorado as far as lifestyle and flavor preferences, and believe our focus on high quality, natural ingredients and culinary techniques will resonate with the residents of Overland Park," says Adam Baker, Larkburger CEO. "We're excited to support and become more involved in this community."
In the last couple of years, Jax Fish House and Pizzeria Locale also chose Kansas City as the first out-of-state locations.
