With an Australian twist and warm hospitality, Stowaway Coffee + Kitchen got the attention of Denver Post reviewer Bill Porter. Focused on breakfast and lunch, the cafe charmed the critic with avocado toast, a roasted beet salad, and "excellent sandwiches." Porter was less than pleased with the parking situation and did not love the salt-and-vinegar hash, but called the sweet spot "a fine addition to RiNo."
Eclectic and bold, Rebel Restaurant was reviewed by Denver Life Magazine this month. The restaurant owned by chefs Bo Porytko and Dan Lasiy received three and a half out of four stars from critic Lori Midson along with raves on several dishes. Among them, the glorious half pig's head, braised then fried, and served intact for guests to perform surgery on, the enchiladas filled with spiced carrots, and the braised squid noodles kimche puree. The music is loud, the spirit irreverent, and the energy is high at this new generation neighborhood joint.
