Old school Italian restaurant Gaetano's and Aurora's always packed Seoul BBQ both received Fs on the weekly Fox31 Restaurant Report Card for multiple critical violations during health inspections.
The red sauce spot located at 39th and Tejon was cited for 16 critical violations in its last two un-announced inspections in January and last year. Among the issues: food held at dangerous temperatures which can cause food poisoning, no sanitizer on the cook line, and no hot water in the women's restroom.
The Korean restaurant received 11 critical violations in its routine inspection in January and a critical violation inspection late last year. A health inspector found a live cockroach on the basin of the cook line sink, an employee was eating while cooking, and other issues. A follow up inspection last month found the eatery set at 2080 South Havana Street to be free of violations.
Granny Scott's, a pie shop located at 3333 S. Wadsworth, received an A in the same Fox31 report.
