Cured, Boulder's popular cheese, charcuterie and provisions shop, launched monthly cheese education classes. Jessica Beer, the shop's manager, cheesemonger, and specialty cheese buyer, will lead these classes at the younger Cured location set off West Pearl at 2019 10th Street.
The classes will give attendants generous tasting plates of cheese, bread to cleanse the palate, and wine or beer pairings. A first installment already took place on Monday and focused on bloomy rind cheeses Northern France. On March 21, alpine cheeses from the Swiss and French Alps will take center stage, while the April class, set for the 18, will spotlight the spring-fitting fresh sheep and goat's milk cheeses.
