The suburban outpost of the ViewHouse in Centennial has failed Fox31's Restaurant Report Card for a record third time. Thirteen critical health code violations were cited in the November 2015 and February 2016 inspections at the spot best known for its outdoor patio and scenic seating. Violations range from insects found in bottles of alcohol, mold inside of soda dispensers and ice machines, and the employee handling of ready-to-eat food with bare hands. The restaurant did pass a follow-up inspection in February.
Range Restaurant in downtown Denver also failed its February inspection with 10 critical violations. Citations include moldy strawberries, no hot water in employee bathrooms, and lack of employee knowledge of food safety protocol. Range soon released a statement acknowledging the violations and their ensuing correction.
Lakewood's Smashburger, located at 7740 W. Alameda Avenue, received an A+ from investigators in the same report.
