Six Fabulous Events You Won't Want to Miss at Taste of Vail

The epic dining and wining festival happens next weekend, folks!

From March 30 through April 3, Taste of Vail takes over the glamorous mountain town. From wine dinners hosted by local restaurants, to cigar sampling poolside at the Four Seasons, to a mountain top tasting experience, and so much more, this is one of the best weekends of the year in Vail. In fact, Taste of Vail is easily one of the top food and wine events in the country. American Lamb Cook-Off and Après Ski Tasting

The arrival of spring is about lamb, mainly. Celebrate properly at the Taste of Vail Lamb Cook-Off event, held in the Vail Village on Thursday, March 31 from 3 - 6 p.m. Lamb dishes will be prepared by the seasoned experts, and a showcase of wines including Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Zinfandel will be paired with lamb dishes accordingly. Cigar & Spirits Sampling

Step up your cigar game at Taste of Vail's Cigar & Spirits Sampling, held at the Four Seasons Resort & Residences in Vail on Thursday, March 31 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. This unique installment will feature the owner of CLE Cigars, Christain Eiroa and spirits from Craft Distillers. Matsuhisa Vail Wine Dinner with German Winemaker Richard Grosche

All of the wine dinners associated with Taste of Vail next weekend are sure to be fabulous, but the Thursday evening edition with Matsuhisa Vail and German winemaker Richard Grosche will be one to seek out. This exciting and limited event will take place from 8 - 9:30 p.m. on Thursday night, and will consist of six courses paired with wine. Call 970.476.6628 for reservations.

Mountain Top Tasting

This glorious outdoor tasting event is the ultimate Taste of Vail experience, held on Friday, April 1 from 12 - 2:30 p.m. The Mountain Top Tasting is held at 10,350 feet and will showcase the gourmet in all categories: food, wine, beer and spirits. Tickets may be purchased online.

James Beard Foundation's Celebrity Chef Tour

Larkspur and Taste of Vail bring you James Beard Foundation's Celebrity Chef Tour on Friday, April 1 from 6 - 10 p.m. at the fabulous Larkspur Restaurant. Chef/Owner at Larkspur, Thomas Salamunovich, is the official host of the event, which will consist of a cocktail reception and multi-course dinner with wine pairings. An array of renowned Colorado chefs, winemakers and mixologists will be in attendance, and tickets are available online.

Wake Up and Smell the Rosé

Wine for breakfast? Absolutely. Join Paul Chevalier from Chateu d'Esclans to awaken your palette and yourself with some beautiful rosés. This educational and fun event is hosted at Sweet Basil on Saturday, April 2 from 9 - 10:30 a.m., and tickets can be purchased in advance online.
