Cochon 555, the popular multi-city traveling culinary competition and tasting event, is returning to Denver not only with its signature Sunday pork feast, but with two extra special dinners that are irresistible in their own right.
On Friday, March 4 at 9 p.m., a late-night Asian speakeasy will be hosted by chef Lon Symensma of ChoLon. The top-notch lineup of chefs and contributors includes Paul Reilly of Beast + Bottle, food editor Amanda Faison of 5280 magazine, Ryan Groby of Cho77, and Becca Henry of ChoLon. The family-style feast featuring local ingredients and responsible agriculture, is limited to 40 seats, and will follow a reception.
On Saturday, March 5, chef Dan Laisy of Rebel Restaurant will welcome guests to a Chef's Course Dinner, where five chefs will cook five courses paired alongside premium spirits. The occasion begins with a reception of passed hors d'oeuvres from each chefs alongside a tasting of Martinez Lacuesta Vermouths.
Both dinners benefit Piggy Bank, a genetic sanctuary providing free heritage breed pigs and business plans to emerging family farms.
The main Cochon 555 event, for which a limited number of tickets is still available, will take place on Sunday, March 6 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in downtown Denver. Details are available here.
