Chef Justin Brunson opened his newest venture, Masterpiece Kitchen, in Lowry earlier this week. The full-service restaurant and bar joins the bustling and family-friendly Lowry Beer Garden plus the trio of chef-driven establishments North County, Cafe Mercato and BuBu. Masterpiece Kitchen brings brunch, lunch, and dinner to the growing neighborhood.
The menu, overseen by chef de cuisine Ben Shapiro, includes beloved Masterpiece Deli staples like the truffle egg salad and ahi tuna, dinner plates like the Aspen Ridge beef shortribs and Rocky Mountain trout from Old Major and new approchable additions.
Chef Shapiro's culinary career started in Kansas City and also included stints at Brunson's other restaurants, Masterpiece Deli and Old Major. He was awarded with Zagat's 30 under 30 in 2015 and also was voted best taco at Los Chingones "El Jefe Chef Series" for 2015. The beverage program at Masterpiece Kitchen is directed by Jeffrey Petrello, who oversees all Brunson Concepts. Petrello previously worked as the beverage director at Beano's Cabin in Avon.
Masterpiece Kitchen is open daily for lunch and dinner and for brunch on weekends. Here's a look inside the space.
