Named the fastest-growing restaurant chain in America, growing to 123 locations in operation, four year old Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza comes to Colorado this spring, with affordable, thin-crust pies. Set to open in May, the new location – at 4700 W. 121st Avenue, near Broomfield Plaza – will feature a 2,700-square-foot interior with seating for 71 inside and an additional 24 seas on the outside patio.
The casually comfortable space features custom oversized graphics fit to the design of the specific location. An interactive open-kitchen gives guests a peek behind-the-scenes at their pizza production. Pies are 11" and baked over a hot open-flame oven – the centerpiece of the space – in just 180 second. Specialty artisanal pies include the Link In, topped with Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, sautéed onions, mozzarella and red sauce, as well as the Green Strip, with pesto drizzled over grilled chicken, chopped garlic, mozzarella and arugula. Freshly made salads range from roasted veggie and gorgonzola to a more classic caesar.
The dough is made from scratch using a recipe from executive chef Bradford Kent – "the pizza whisperer." Gluten-free and vegan options are also available, as well as tasty and unique items like blood orange lemonade and s'more pies.
Blaze, founded by Elise and Rick Wetzel (of Wetzel's Pretzels) presently operates in major metro areas in 27 states as well as Canada.
