Tengu, the izakaya and ramen shop set inside the Industry development at 3053 Brighton Boulevard, has shuttered. With contemporary minimalist design, the Japanese eatery and bar opened in December 2014 hoping to attract workers from the building and to tap into Denver's general thirst for all things noodles.
Two weeks ago, Tengu announced it was taking a spring refresh break. Instead of reopening, the team behind it decided to cut their loses and move on. This was the message posted on the restaurant's Facebook page:
only the good die young.
after closing for a spring refresh we analyzed options and have decided to close Tengu for good. we love our #tengufamily and appreciate all the support, love and slurps shared over the past year and a half.
xx
