Old School Euro Chic Pop's Place Now Dishes in Ballpark

There is breakfast, lunch, and dinner to be had

Pop's Place, a new breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot is now open in the Ballpark neighborhood. Set in the former Lower 48 space at 2020 Lawrence Street, the casual Pop's is a collaboration between Jim Pittenger and Stephen Kleinman. Pittenger is the head sausage man at the now-iconic Biker Jim's Gourmet Dogs and Kleinman is a longtime Summit County chef and the father of Ian Kleinman who operates next door neighbor the Inventing Room.

The space has been reimagined from its original incarnation and now yellow, brown, and grey hues dominate the large dining room both through new paint and new furniture. A cubist-inspired mural by artist Matt O'Neill is a centerpiece of the space.

The offerings at Pop's are as diverse and varied as it gets. There is a wide selection of eggs, omelets, scrambles, but also waffles, pancakes, and chilaquiles for breakfast. Lunch and dinner include soups, sandwiches, and salads with international flavors hailing all the way from Asia through the banh mi to Mexico through tacos and diving through the South of the United States for collard greens, hushpuppies, buttermilk biscuits and beignets.

Pop's Place is open seven days a week.
