Stunning Japanese Matsuhisa Is Now Serving in Cherry Creek

New, 3 comments

The sushi bar has officially been raised in the Mile High City

Sushi institution Matshuhisa opened its doors quietly in Cherry Creek North at the corner of 1st Avenue and Steele. Set inside a stunning 7,800 square foot space designed by Denver and Aspen based Rowland + Broughton, the Japanese-inspired spot joins Colorado sister outposts of the restaurant group located in Vail and Aspen.

Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa first launched his eponymous concept in California nearly three decades ago. Along with Nobu, the other branch of the chef's business, there are now locations of his restaurants all over the world, all of them coming with prestige stemming from the high standards that the restaurateur is known for.

The restaurant offers an extensive sushi menu, as well as oysters, tempura, salads, Japanese soups, a variety of entrees, and cold and hot specialties. Musts for anyone dining at Matsuhisa include the uni shooter, the yellowtail tataki with yuzu miso, and the Nobu crispy rice with tuna.

Matsuhisa Cherry Creek serves dinner seven nights a week. Lunch service will be added at a later time.
