Chef Alex Figura, who made waves at Lower 48 and joined the team at Black Eye Coffee Cap Hill when the Ballpark restaurant closed, is planning to open an artisanal pasta eatery later this year. Figura is joined by parter Spencer White, who worked with him both at Lower 48 and at Black Eye, in the new venture that will launch in the RiNo/Five Points area. The exact location is yet to be revealed but has been secured.
The chefs will focus their attention on a variety of handmade pastas, offering both gluten free and dairy free dishes to guests who will be able to visit the new spot for lunch and dinner. "Our goal is to create a place that is not only fun but also very approachable for all demographics," Figura explained. "It will be simple but we will have a variety of options to cater to different tastes and preferences," he continued.
A retail component will offer to go pastas with a variety of sides and accoutrements that will make a complete meal.
